Character: A Novel

Is it even possible to have character? Can we overcome the dark soundings in our soul, give up clinging to greed, power, and position?

Derek’s twisted New York soul is reborn into Arel in Axum, Ethiopia, a short walk to the church that contains the Ark of the Covenant, wherein lies the Ten Commandments. He is one who carries all good and evil, as we all do, and with his devout Hindu wife, Sanvi, who worships the divine feminine, learn what it takes to be what Carl Jung describes as the “four-square” person of character, that which is the true completion of a life.

This is Leslie Stein’s third and final novel in a trilogy exploring the journey of what is required to be individuated, finally complete, whole, one’s own person.
